Tango

Step-by-step guide capture

About Tango

Captures workflows in the browser and turns them into step-by-step how-to guides with annotated screenshots.

Tango records a workflow while you click through it in a web app and turns each action into a step with a screenshot, a highlight on the element you clicked and a line of instruction. Guides can be edited, shared as links, embedded in a knowledge base or exported.

It also offers guidance that appears on top of the live web app, so a person following a guide sees which button to press next in the real interface. That makes it useful for processes that staff run rarely and forget between runs, such as quarter-end tasks in a finance system.

Teams in operations, support and HR use it to write internal procedures faster. When comparing it with similar capture tools, look at how it handles sensitive data in screenshots, what the viewer needs to install, and how easy it is to update one step when a screen changes.
