About WalkMe

Digital adoption platform that layers walkthroughs, tips and automation over enterprise web apps and tracks where users get stuck.

WalkMe adds a guidance layer on top of web applications, so users see step-by-step walkthroughs, pop-up tips and a help menu inside the software they are using. It is often deployed over large enterprise systems such as CRM, HR and finance tools, where training documents alone do not stop mistakes.

Besides guidance, it collects usage data that shows which screens and steps cause trouble, and it can automate some repetitive actions inside an app. It was acquired by SAP, and much of its use is in large companies rolling out new internal software to many employees.

Building content in a digital adoption platform is its own skill, and guidance breaks when the underlying app changes. Ask how it detects broken flows, who in your team will own content, and how it handles apps you do not control, such as third-party SaaS tools.
